The Adur Ferry Bridge and Shoreham-by-Sea seen from the air

For twenty years INSIDE has landed on doormats across Shoreham and Southwick - the local news, what's on, the people who live here, and the details worth keeping. Here's who puts it together, and how it came to be.

OUR STORY

INSIDE has changed hands over the years, but the idea has stayed the same: a good-looking magazine that belongs to the neighbourhood.

The beginning
2005

A magazine for the neighbourhood

Angela McEnery, a local resident, started INSIDE Shoreham & Southwick as a magazine for her own doorstep. It found its readers quickly and settled into local life.

Tim Clark moved to Shoreham Beach in August 2023, bringing two decades of magazine publishing with him and taking to the town straight away.

New hands
2024

Tim takes it on

In April 2024 Tim took the magazine over from Angela. Same title, same purpose - now with an experienced publisher looking after every issue.

Meet Tim, the man behind INSIDE

Tim Clark edits INSIDE, looks after the advertising, and lays out every page himself - so the person you book your space with is the same person who designs your advert. He has spent twenty years working with local businesses and putting community magazines together, and he knows what makes a reader stop on a page.

When the issue is put to bed, you'll usually find him paddleboarding on the River Adur or sailing out of the harbour.
